Four Phases of Powerful Brain-Science in aSoothing Soundtrack
Science-based rhythms and frequencies (that attract, match and relax brainwave activity in the ADHD listener) are artistically incorporated into beautiful melodies.
The Audio Aid for ADHD soundtrack features four unique and complimentary phases: Synthesis, Stepping-Down, Convergence and Reinforcement.
The Synthesis section attracts the attention of the ADHD listener with tones and tempos that match and resonate with the frequencies shown to be present in the "distracted" mind. These sounds are familiar to the ADHD brain and work to establish trust, connection and willingness to engage.
The frequencies and melodies during the Stepping-Down segment alternately stimulate and relax the listener. All brains eventually entrain* themselves to slow and calming rhythms and pitches. However, the ADHD brain is accommodated by stimulating input and easily tires of repetitive sequences and slow rhythms. Stepping-Down provides a progressive cycle of stimulation followed by calm that keeps the listener interested while allowing periodic calming to occur.
The progressive cycles of Stepping-Down gradually shorten the stimulating intervals while lengthening the restful ones. In the Convergence phase the ADHD brain eventually entrains to the pace of the calming intervals and begins to enter a more relaxed and receptive state.
The Reinforcement phase presents sounds to help the listener feel more peaceful and mentally productive while the music is playing. The harmonies and pacing in this section work to strengthen the neural pathways of newly forming calm and focused behaviors. The music also reinforces brain connections so the improved behaviors can be maintained even after the listening experience has ended.
